Health Inequalities
Equality and diversity are important to the NHS and crucial to the delivery of our services.
We have a diverse community of staff and populations we serve, so it's important we are open and inclusive.
We must publish information to show compliance with the Equality Duty.
As a Trust, we must show how we:
- Stop unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation
- Improve equality of opportunity between people with and without protected characteristics
- Foster good relations between people with and without protected characteristics
We do this through the Equality and Diversity Strategy. The Trust's Equality Strategy shows how we set our objectives to meet the Public Sector Duties of the Equality Act 2010. Details of actions are in Appendix 1 of the Strategy. These are updated on an annual basis.
The Workforce Equality and Diversity Information in the Annual Reports also includes useful information.
