Our vision and values
We recognise that the people who work for us are our greatest asset, and when you feel supported and happy at work this positively reaches those very people we are here for - our service users.
We are committed to building a more diverse and inclusive organisation ensuring we harness the talents of all our staff.
Our portal is designed to give you an idea of what life is like here at CNTW, one of the largest mental health and disability Trusts in the country and rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Find out more about us in the short animation below.
Please take a look around and learn more about our values, culture, services, training and development, staff benefits and more.
Our staff are our most important asset and recognising their excellent work and the vital contributions they make to patient care is very important us. Each year the Trust celebrates the dedication, hard work and achievements of CNTW and NTW Solutions staff at our Staff Excellence Awards.
We are signed up to the Disability Confident Scheme. This means we can demonstrate we’re taking positive action to attract, recruit and retain people with disabilities.
We’re proud to have received a Gold Award from the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme, which publicly recognises employers’ efforts to support defence personnel issues and encouraging others to do the same.
Our Trust has successfully been awarded ‘Mindful Employer’ which is a national initiative recognising a positive approach towards mental health at work.
Each of our staff networks are engaged across all levels of the Trust, so have a real voice in the organisation, and they continue to grow. The networks are open to all staff who are members of the diverse groups or who would like to join as allies. The networks provide access to leadership and development opportunities and create an environment where staff feel safe to speak up.
All our new staff are provided with a comprehensive induction programme, starting on their first day of employment.
Your professional and personal development is really important to us. You’ll be encouraged and supported to work with your line manager to identify your personal career aspirations through a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
We also offer a 12-month Accredited Preceptorship Programme, which focuses on a common approach to preceptorship across the Trust, supporting newly registered nurses in their first year of practice. It is underpinned by academic evidence of professional learning and reflection, to support competent practice.
We have a range of staff benefits our staff can enjoy, including flexible working, electric car charging, childcare discounts and more.
