Our vision and values
We recognise that our people are our greatest asset. When you feel supported and happy at work, this has a positive impact on the people we are here to support - our service users.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation, where we harness the talents of all our staff.
Our portal is designed to give you a sense of what life is like at CNTW, one of the largest mental health and disability trusts in the country. Find out more about us in the short animation below.
Please take a look around and learn more about our values, culture, services, training and development, staff benefits and more.
Our staff are our most important asset and recognising their excellent work and the vital contributions they make to patient care is very important us. Each year the Trust celebrates the dedication, hard work and achievements of CNTW and NTW Solutions staff at our Staff Excellence Awards.
We are signed up to the Disability Confident Scheme. This means we can demonstrate we’re taking positive action to attract, recruit and retain people with disabilities.
We’re proud to have received a Gold Award from the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme, which publicly recognises employers’ efforts to support defence personnel issues and encouraging others to do the same.
Our Trust has successfully been awarded ‘Mindful Employer’ which is a national initiative recognising a positive approach towards mental health at work.
Each of our staff networks is engaged across all levels of the Trust, giving members a genuine voice in the organisation, and they continue to grow. They are open to staff from diverse groups, as well as those who wish to join as allies.
The networks provide access to leadership and development opportunities, while creating an environment where staff feel safe to speak up.
All new staff receive a comprehensive induction programme from their very first day.
Your professional and personal development is important to us. You’ll be encouraged and supported to work with your line manager to identify your career aspirations through a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
We also offer a 12-month Accredited Preceptorship Programme, providing a consistent approach across the Trust and supporting newly registered nurses in their first year of practice. The programme is underpinned by academic evidence and reflective learning, helping to build confidence and support competent practice.
We have a range of staff benefits our staff can enjoy, including flexible working, electric car charging, childcare discounts and more.
