From the North: Depending on where you are travelling from you may need to use A189 or A1 before joining the A19. If using the A189, pick up the A19 from the Moor Farm Roundabout.

  • Head South on the A1
  • leave the A1 via the A19, this will be sign-posted Tyne Tunnel.
  • At the roundabout take the 3rd exit for A19 Tyne Tunnel.
  • At next roundabout (Moor Farm Roundabout) exit on A19.
  • At the Silverlink interchange take the 1st exit onto the A1058 slip road to Newcastle.
  • Continue on the A1058 for 2.5 miles then move into left lane sign posted Walker, turn left at lights “Crosslings.”
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

From the South using the A19:

  • Follow A19 North through Tyne Tunnel.
  • Continue on the A19N.
  • At the Silverlink interchange take the 1st exit onto the A1058 slip road to Newcastle.
  • Continue on the A1058 for 2.5 miles then move into left lane sign posted Walker, turn left at lights “Crosslings.
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

From the South using the A1:

  • Follow the A1 North until pass Washington Services.
  • Move to right lane and join A194(M) for approximately four miles following road to South Shields.
  • At the roundabout take 2nd exit onto A194.
  • At the next roundabout take 2nd exit A194.
  • At next roundabout take second exit onto A19 for Tyne Tunnel and Morpeth.
  • Follow A19 North through Tyne Tunnel.
  • Continue on the A19N.
  • At the Silverlink interchange take the 1st exit onto the A1058 slip road to Newcastle.
  • Continue on the A1058 for 2.5 miles then move into left lane sign posted Walker, turn left at lights “Crosslings.
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

From the East:

Most major routes from these areas are well sign posted to lead to the start of the Coast Road A1058 (Billy Mill roundabout).

  • Travel approximately 5miles, move to left hand lane to leave A1058, sign posted Walker.
  • Turn Left at lights “Crosslings”.
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

Approaching from the Tyne Bridge:

  • A167(M) - this is known as the Central Motorway.
  • After crossing bridge travel through a short underpass.
  • Once through move over to the right lane and look for the signs to leave the A167(M) towards Tynemouth A1058 (Coast Road) on the slip road move to the left lane for Tynemouth.
  • Move to the left lane for Tynemouth.
  • Follow the road and take the slip road for Walker.
  • Turn Right at the traffic lights and then straight on at the 2nd set of traffic lights.
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

From the West:

  • Follow the A69 until it meets the A1 (large roundabout with traffic lights).
  • A186 ahead 2nd exit.
  • Turn left 2nd exit A191 “Denton Hotel”.
  • Travel one mile, at the roundabout after “Balloon Pub” turn right 3rd exit onto A167.
  • At the small roundabout – follow the road ahead.
  • At the next roundabout turn right 2nd exit, A167.
  • Follow A167 for two miles; when entering underpass merge over to the left lane to follow road for A1058 Tynemouth (Coast Road).
  • Follow the road and take the slip road for Walker.
  • Turn Right at the traffic lights and then straight on at the 2nd set of traffic lights.
  • After driving under railway bridge, you will pass “allotments” on right, take next right in to Walkergate Park grounds and follow the signs for North East Drive Mobility.

There is a Toll charge and you can no longer pay by cash. There are several ways in which you can pay. An automated telephone payment line is available on 0191 574 0030. If you’d still like to pay by cash, you can do so at a PayPoint retailer.

Directions to Tees Valley Drive Mobility, Phoenix House, 3 Surtees Business Park, Stockton TS18 3HR

From the North:

  • From the A19, exit towards Darlington (A66).
  • Merge and continue on A66.
  • Exit A66 towards Ingleby Barwick (A135).
  • Keep in the left lane and turn left at the top of the sliproad.
  • At the roundabout, turn left, signposted Surtees Business Park.
  • Continue straight on through the chicane.
  • Take the first turn on the right after the MAN Truck & Bus centre (this will be on your right).
  • Continue down this road where the Jacobs building is in front of you.
  • Turn right just before the zebra crossing.
  • The first two disabled bays on the right are for Tees Valley Drive Mobility parking and are signed as such.

From the South:

Travelling by train:

The nearest station is: Thornaby Station, Mandale Road, Thornaby, Cleveland, TS17 6AW

There are taxis outside the station entrance; it is an approximate six minute taxi journey to Surtees Business Park. Thornaby station offers assisted travel. Please call 0800 107 2149 to book assistance at this station.

Travelling by bus:

If travelling by bus, it is advisable to take a bus to Stockton Town Centre, and then take a taxi from Stockton to the Surtees Business Park. It is an approximate 10 minute taxi journey.

From the South:

  • Leave the M6 at Junction 44 signposted for Carlisle North & Galashiels.
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit signposted A689 West.
  • At the next roundabout take the third exit signposted for Rockcliffe.
  • Keep in the left lane marked Asda and turn left at the lights.
  • Turn right onto Cooper Way.
  • Turn left onto Fletcher Way.
  • Pacific House is the second turn on the right.

From the West:

  • Head East on A595 towards Carlisle.
  • Follow the signs for M6 until you see Asda on the left.
  • Turn left at Newby West roundabout onto A689, signposted for Hexham and M6.
  • At the next roundabout, turn left signposted Rockcliffe (heading towards Asda).
  • Keep in the left hand land marked Asda and turn left at the lights.
  • Turn right onto Cooper Way.
  • Turn left onto Fletcher Way.
  • Pacific House is the second turn on the right.

Directions from the East:

  • Head West along A689
  • At Linstock roundabout, take the third exit signposted for Scotland, M6 and Carlisle North.
  • At the Greymoor Hill roundabout take the third exit signposted for A689 West.
  • At the next roundabout take the third exit signposted for Rockcliffe.
  • Keep in the left lane marked Asda and turn left at the lights.
  • Turn right onto Cooper Way.
  • Turn left onto Fletcher Way.
  • Pacific House is the second turn on the right.

Direction from Carlisle City Centre:

  • Head North on A7.
  • Just after the BP garage, turn left at the lights signposted Rockcliffe and Kingstown Retail Park.
  • At the mini roundabout, continue straight on.
  • At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted Rockcliffe.
  • Keep in the left lane marked Asda and turn left at the lights.
  • Turn right onto Cooper Way.
  • Turn left onto Fletcher Way.
  • Pacific House is the second turn on the right.
